Instructions for Applying for a U.S. Virgin Island
Marriage License
for Fantasia Wedding Clients

The Superior Court does not accept Canadian money orders or checks.  Kindly 
make all Canadian checks payable to Fantasia Weddings.  
Thank you for your cooperation. 

1. No blood test or physical is required.

2. No waiting period or residency required.

3. If you were previously married, please include your most recent Certified Divorce Decree translated in English if outside of the country (with a raised seal or stamped certified copy) signed by the judge from the court in which you were divorced. Your divorce must be final and dated thirty days prior to your wedding date if contested or by default. No exceptions. Must be translated in English If either spouse is widowed, you will need a certified, stamped copy of your spouse's death certificate. Please return (typed documents in full, with no abbreviations) both the signed License for Marriage form and the signed Application for Marriage form. 

4. A quick trip to the courthouse is required to pick up your marriage license in person. No swimsuits or shorts are allowed (Fantasia will have a personal escort provided to greet you at the ship's gangway to take you to the court to pick up your marriage license and then on to your wedding site). You will need to bring photo ID for your appearance before the Clerk of the Court (Driver's License or passport).

5. The fee for the application for a US marriage license is a nonrefundable $100.00 This fee includes the statutory $100.00 for license. Please include the money order or cashier's check (in U.S. funds). In the amount of $100.00 made out to the "Superior Court of the V.I.

FINAL DEADLINE IS TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR WEDDING DATE. 

6. Please send the above documents and payments via US Postal Express or Fed Ex along with all fees accompanied by your signed License and Certificate of Marriage and signed Application for Marriage form along with your (raised seal, notarized) original or certified death certificate or divorce decree together in one envelope with your name. wedding date.

NOTE: Your license and documents must be received by Fantasia Weddings along with all payments at our required Deadline two weeks prior to your ceremony date.

7. After your ceremony, Fantasia Weddings will provide you with a complimentary copy of your Certified Marriage License mailed directly to your home approximately 30 days after your wedding date as proof of legality.

9. We will not guarantee licensing for applications received after the deadline or for non-certified, divorce decrees or death certificate. (Note: Certified means from the court in which you were divorced, NOT NOTARIZED.)

10. All packages are priced for bride and groom only. Additional guests for transportation must be paid and accounted for by deadline at $20.00 per person round trip (or $15.00 per person one way). If clients decide to stay for lunch or relaxation at the resort an additional return taxi trip is to be paid by the client.

11. Note: Sunday weddings are available upon request and some local holidays for an additional $150.  Please consult with Fantasia on these days. Pick up for the court is at 9:30 a.m. sharp. The court is only open for 1 hour. Please be on time. The court is closed on all Federal Holidays.
